Thesis Statement
My work is an interpretation of landscape as a line between the earth and atmosphere. The line references topography in its gesture, extracting all of the visual clues such as buildings, bridges and people. The orientation remains ambiguous to which end is up and to a specific location. Only the residual contour of the land remains, thus referencing the experience of exploration. It is open to interpretation and reflection on one’s physical surroundings. |
